CRM +2% Into Dreamforce: Salesforce Points to 3.2B Agentic Work Units and a 72% Open Rate at SaaStr

Agentforce ARR hit $1.5B with 3.2 billion Agentic Work Units last quarter, up 97% QoQ, as Salesforce opens Dreamforce 2026 Tuesday with seven job-ready agents and a SaaStr case study claiming $2.7M in recovered revenue.

Salesforce walks into Dreamforce 2026 today with a stock chart that already reads like a narrative-management deck. CRM rallied 3.73% Monday to $256.95, per the International Business Times, ahead of a three-day event in San Francisco built around a single question the ecosystem has been asking since spring: does Agentforce actually work in production?

The disclosures are structured to answer yes. Salesforce says the Agentforce platform and Slack have delivered 7 billion Agentic Work Units to date, with 3.2 billion in the most recent quarter alone, a 97% quarter-over-quarter jump attributed by Yahoo Finance’s GuruFocus write-up. Agentforce ARR sits at $1.5 billion, up 240% year over year, extending the trajectory from last month’s $1.5B Agentforce print.

The number doing the heaviest rhetorical work isn’t a revenue figure. It’s a customer benchmark. Salesforce’s Dreamforce media page reports that SaaStr, running Agentforce on its own contact database, saw a 72% open rate on personalized outreach (described as the highest across all of SaaStr’s other AI tools), a reply rate above 10%, and $2.7 million in closed revenue plus $3.5 million in pipeline from contacts that hadn’t been touched in six months.

That’s the datapoint every B2B operator will screenshot this week.

Thursday’s pre-show, covered in our Dreamforce curtain-raiser, previewed the September 11 unveil of seven “job-ready” agents and the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness governance layer. Today’s keynote pairs Marc Benioff with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei to formalize the Claudeforce partnership.

Two caveats matter. First, Yahoo Finance notes Agentforce ARR now includes Slackbot and Headless 360, which broadens the definition and complicates year-over-year comparability. Second, Salesforce Ben reports that customers increasingly want production deployment data and failed-implementation disclosures, not curated case studies. Wednesday’s Investor Day at the St. Regis is where Agentic Work Units either convert to durable consumption revenue or get re-explained.

The interesting shift isn’t the ARR number. It’s that the pitch has moved from “AI assists your reps” to “AI does the reps’ job,” priced accordingly.
